Wellstone CEO, Gregory Stewart

Greg Stewart
CEO

Wellstone Regional Hospital’s CEO Gregory Stewart is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor (LCAC) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). He completed his graduate studies at the University of North Florida with a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. Mr. Stewart has practiced in the Southern Indiana area for over 22 years. He has been with Wellstone Regional Hospital since its opening in 2003. During his tenure at Wellstone, Mr. Stewart has held many administrative roles. In 2012, he assumed the role of CEO.

Mr. Stewart is passionate about behavioral healthcare and has given testimony at the Indiana Capitol advocating for the community and addressing the obstacles encountered by both consumers and healthcare professionals. He is a member of the Indiana Hospital Association’s Behavioral Health Council, a board member of non-profit organizations, and he participates in multiple fundraisers and walks for various causes. He has received the UHS Chairman’s Council Award which he identifies as his greatest professional achievement. In March of 2018, he was awarded the UHS Quality Award on behalf of Wellstone, which gives testament to the miraculous work of the hospital and every employee. When asked what motivates Mr. Stewart he said “to know I am a part of saving lives is remarkable. Wellstone treats wounds that are not visibly seen. To be part of inspiring someone, giving them hope and watching them heal is such a gift. I’ve truly been blessed.”
